Thursdays are her busiest days, but Ruth Williams still manages to stay grounded with the help of yoga and meditation.

5 a.m.

My mornings begin with worship. My husband and I read the Bible, practice Buddhist awareness and prayer, and round it out with a yoga and meditation session.  I then prepare breakfast for my stepson, finish packing lunches, tidy the kitchen and head to the shower.  CBC Radio’s Edmonton AM is always on.

7:30 a.m

After dropping my stepson off at daycare, I head to the office.  My work day consists of admin, file work, meeting with clients, telephone calls, emails, research, preparing for hearings, and attending hearings.

Noon

Lunch with coworkers and a quick email to the cricket team re : tomorrow’s practice.

3:30 p.m.

I head to Moksha Yoga Edmonton. I take a yoga class followed by teaching a 90-minute Yin class.

8 pm.

Thursday is dessert night: a family tradition of sampling my baking for the week.

8:30 p.m.

I compile or read country condition documents or do some needed research.

10 p.m.

Lights out!
